Having just completed the planning stage of the program, the BC Wine Grape Industry Task Force (WGITF) is proud to share the Strategic Plan that will guide the next two years as we enter the working group stage. This plan reflects months of consultation, collaboration, and research, laying the groundwork for unified action to address the key challenges and opportunities facing BC’s wine grape sector.
The WGITF is now actively recruiting members for six focused working groups that will lead the implementation of this strategy. These groups – Data Strategy, Climate Resilience, Market Development, Organizational Alignment, Business Economics, and Long-Term Industry Strategy – will each create plans and priority projects to create real, measurable progress for our industry over the next two years.
Key details:
- Meetings will happen at least once every 3 months starting in July 2025, until March 2027; however, they will likely be more frequent (likely monthly) in the first 6 months of planning.
- Working group members should be actively engaged in BC’s wine grape industry or a closely related sector (i.e. agriculture, agri-tech, food & beverage) and bring relevant experience to the working group theme.
- Deadline to apply: June 19
If you have insight, experience, or vision to help turn our big-picture goals into tangible, practical steps, we invite you to apply today. Read more about each working group and apply online at BCWineGrapeIndustry.com.
